West Side Market Fest and Parade brought to you by Lutheran Hospital with the generous support of Councilman Joe Cimperman and produced by Live Nation.

Come join the fun at the West Side Market Fest and Parade! West 25th street will be closed off from traffic on Sunday October 7th from 11:00am to 8:00pm in celebration of the West Side Market's 100th birthday. Celebrations will include a must-attend street festival produced by Live Nation featuring live music, delicious local food from Ohio City restaurants and food trucks, and artisan vendors. Kicking off the festival will be a West Side Market themed parade featuring current and past vendors, neighborhood block clubs and community groups who have created costumes created for or inspired by Cleveland Museum of Art's Parade the Circle.


Event Schedule

11:00 a.m. Festival begins with food, beverage and entertainment
12:00 p.m. 
Parade steps off led Grand Marshalls, West Side Market vendors
1:00 p.m. West Side Market opens with over 50 vendors selling and sampling homemade specialties 
1:00 p.m. Harvest Activities begin on Ohio City Farm
6:45 Lighting of Historic Clock Tower sponsored GE Lighting
8:00 p.m. Event concludes

What to eat?

The West Side Market will be open on a Sunday for the first time in a decade from 1:00 to  6:00 pm!

Ohio City Restaurants and Food Trucks will line W. 25th from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm

What to do?

Live entertainment - Two stage with live music and ethnic dance groups from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Parade - Kicking off at Noon will be a colorful parade with costumes created by Cleveland Museum of Art's Parade the Circle community workshops. The best place to watch the parade is on Lorain Avenue between W. 26th and W. 24t

Harvest Activities on Ohio City Farm - Food demos and tastings, scarecrow building and pumpkin painting while supplies last. Plus, Crooked River Blues Band from 1:00 to 6:00 pm

Activities Tent - Family Friendly Activites including face painters, balloon artists, magicians and Campbell's Sweets Factory Imagination Station from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Lighting of Historic Clock Tower - Generously sponsored GE Lighting, join us at the Market Square Park Stage at 6:45 pm for a special presentation.


Food Contests

Best Pie Competition - The Ohio City Farm will host the Harvest Pie Baking Contest!  Download an entry form here.  Send completed entry forms to OR print and return it in person at our Farm Stand, Friday & Saturdays 9am-3pm.  Entry forms are due Oct 3th by 5pm, pies must arrive at the farm by 2pm on October 7th, judging will begin at 2:30pm, winners will be announced at 3:30pm.

Ice Cream Eating Contest - Watch up to 20 contestants compete to see who can eat a quart of ice cream the fastest. Visit the Mitchell's Home Made Ice Cream tent on W. 25h to sign up.  Only the First 20 people who sign up will be able to compete. Must be 16 years or older.

Hot Dog Competition - Celebrity panel to judge best Ohio City hot dog! Participating vendors are Johnny's Hot Dog, Steve's Lunch and Old Fashioned Hot Dog.  Judging will begin at 6:15 at the Market Square Stage.

How do I get to the Festival?

Ride RTA - Park free at any of RTA's Red Line Rapid stations and ride the rapid to the Ohio City (W. 25th-Lorain) Rapid Station. It's an easy walk to all the festivities. 

Blue/Green line riders can transfer to the Red Line at Tower City.

HealthLine riders can transfer at Tower City to the Red Line.

Bike Parking - FREE and secure bike parking provided by Ohio City Bicycle Co-op, valet zone on Carroll Avenue.

Limited vehicle parking available in lots A,C,D,E, and F for $5 or $10.
